 Dubai Mall to Open August 28

Dubai Mall, the new "Biggest" mall and shopping center in the Middle East will open on August 28 - 2008 says Emaar. With 5.9 millioin sqf of floor space the Dubai Mall will host up to 1.200 shops, 120 food outlets and possibly a lot of tourists :-)

Visitors to Dubai from selected countries now have an easier time here. New rules from RTA means that you are no longer required to obtain a local temporary driving license to drive local registered cars.

Deyaar has launched three new residential projects valued at Dh700m at Dubai Silicon Oasis. The Coral, Jade and Ruby residences construction is underway and the projects are on track with delivery expected in June 2009.

UAE rent prices to ease

UAE Central Bank Governor Sultan Nasser Al Suwaidi said rent prices in the country will dip later in 2008 as more units come into the market and supply increases, reported Gulf News. He said the increased housing supply will also help ease inflation.
