Property sales in Dubai fell by almost half during the first six months of this year compared to the same period in 2008, and the value of transaction dropped by a similar amount, a new study has found.

REIDIN.com, a research company that monitors property transactions using data from the Dubai Land Department, says 1,724 sales took place in the in the first half of 2009, a 42.6 per cent fall over the same six months last year.

I do not think so the dubai property price down. Try talking to the agents and see if you can find something at a bargain basement price.Go and have a look at a 2 bed on The Springs in Dubai at Dhs 1.3 million and wonder why anyone in their right mind would pay even half that.I have spent weeks trying to find something at just 10% below its original price, even though I am told it should be more like 60%. They do not exist simple as that.One developer has even put their prices up 10% in the last week!http://www.bayut.com/agents.html
